Create a “Shark Hero & Friends” drawing and sharks MUST be the main character included in your drawing. You shall include the story to describe your drawing too.
Draw a shark, add some friends for it, and do your part for sharks. As part of the Be A Shark Hero (BASH) programme, Malaysians of all ages are invited to put their best pen or brush or mouse forward between 23 Feb and 13 Mary 2018, to create artwork for shark conservation.
BASH aims to reduce the consumption of sharks and shark fins and establish better management plans for our sharks.
You can be of any age, submit any number of pieces and use any format, whether painting, hand drawing, printmaking or digital art.
But make sure you take note of your creative process because you need to submit that too. So keep all your sketches and drafts, documents and data used during your production process for the final selection stage.
You are up for some great prizes including a cool shark trophy, a book of artwork by local artists, cute premium infant merchandise and a certificate.
Your artwork could also feature in conservation work by BASH partners Shark Savers Malaysia and WWF-Malaysia. Specifically, it will be in support of the Wedding Without Fins project. This project encourages Malaysian couples to have fin-free weddings. Yours could be the winning artwork that will inspire wedding couples to do so!
